π 1 August, 9.30am-12.30pm - Friends of Sidmouth Library Book Sale. Come to Sidmouth Library and pick up some books at a great price, all money raised goes directly to supporting Sidmouth Library!
π 3 August, 3pm - Author Talk with Chris Foster Tolley. Join us for this free talk from Chris about his new novel 'Trip '89', which is set in Sidmouth during the 1989 Folk Festival. Spaces limited, please contact library staff to book your free place.
β17 August, 2pm - Creative Writing session with author Becca Rogers. Watery writing workshop for 8β12-year-olds, inspired by her two novels. Places limited, please book your space with library staff. Β£8 per child which includes a free copy of Becca's latest book 'Scamp Saltbrace and the Tidal Clock'.
π€ 19 August, 11am - Goldies Singalong. Come along and enjoy a free singalong of some classic songs!
π 19 August, 2.30pm - 'Moon and Rockets' Illustrated talk with Karen Hedges, with fun rocket crafts. Free event, please speak to library staff to book your place.
π² 21 August, 2-4pm - Bike Activity Afternoon - Pop into the library between these times to get advice from local police officers about how to keep your bike safe, as well as enjoy fun activities from Sidmouth Cycling Campaign.
π 24 August, 3pm - Sidmouth Lifeboat Visit - Join Adrian from Sidmouth Lifeboat to hear all about lifeboats and rescues! Free event, but donations to Sidmouth Lifeboat welcome. Please speak to library staff to book your place.
π 27 August, 3pm - Author Talk with Roger Trend - Meet the author of 'Sidmouth's River', 'Sidmouth's Coast' and more. Join Roger for an illustrated talk about local landscape features and how he has included these in his books.
πΎ 28 August, 10.30am - Children's Storytime with author Jax King. Perfect for 5β7-year-olds, listen to the story of Slippery Cyril and enjoy some bear themed crafts. Free event, please book your place with library staff.
