With a soggy field following this afternoon's rainfall and more rain forecast throughout tomorrow, the decision has been made to postpone the Y5/6 Sports Day to Monday 22nd June.
We hope the British weather will be more favourable on our rescheduled date!

Thank you for your understanding.

On Monday, KS2 Reading Ambassadors visited Sittingbourne library. The library was recently refurbished and the children's area is amazing with tables, book cases, settees and cosy reading 'nooks'. We highly recommend a visit to the library where your child can sign up for a library card and borrow up to 30 books at a time!

During term 5, Year 5 have been learning all about the incredible world of insects, in particular butterflies! As well as watching them metamorphose in real life, we have researched and written information texts about these winged wonders who are so important for a healthy planet. Inspired by the beauty of these insects as they hatched from their cocoons, we then turned our hands to poetry. Here are some amazing pieces of writing from Rachael, Harrison, Aida, Jamie and Isabelle.

From Masterpieces to Our Own Masterpieces!

In Year 2 we learned about Picasso and Kauffman to tackle the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. We used charcoal and created our very own versions of this epic story!

Charcoal was the perfect medium for this project, and here is how we used it to bring the myth to life. Inspired by Picasso’s many faces of the Minotaur, we used raw, bold lines to express emotion. By pressing hard for dark, aggressive lines and lifting the charcoal away for highlights, we could make our monsters look fierce, tragic, or powerful.

Check out some of our amazing creations.

Our talented Year 3 students have been diving into the vibrant, imaginative world of legendary Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, and the results are absolutely stunning!

Inspired by Gaudí’s famous trencadís (mosaic) technique, organic shapes, and a kaleidoscope of colors, the children have been busy designing and creating their very own spectacular friezes.

From swirling nature-inspired patterns to brilliant geometric layouts, they've shown incredible teamwork, patience, and pure creativity. Barcelona has definitely met its match in our budding young artists!
