Swale Community and Voluntary Services Swale CVS offers support to local charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and local volunteers.

Swale Community and Voluntary Services (SCVS) is recognised as a high quality, leading support and development organisation providing a variety of services for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), local people, the public and private sectors across the Borough of Swale and in partnership with other like minded bodies across Kent. SCVS encourages, promotes and facilitates regular volunteering

and engagement in local
communities, supporting local people to help themselves and each other. Volunteers are vital to any community and we actively advocate innovation and opportunities for all. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are proud to provide core services of a council for voluntary service (CVS) and Volunteer Centre (VC). We also share expertise and experiences in areas such as project management, training,
consultancy and community engagement, facilities and services on behalf of the voluntary, public and private sectors.

Would you like to make a difference and brighten someone’s day?

Age UK Sheppey are looking for friendly volunteers to support their Social & Activity Centre. Whether you can give a few hours a week or more, they’d love to hear from you.

You could help with:

☕ Making teas and coffees
🎨 Planning and helping run activities
💬 Spending time chatting with clients
😊 Helping create a warm and welcoming environment
🕒 Flexible days and times to fit around your availability.

Our Befriending clients braved the heat today at the Crazy Golf in Sheerness. They enjoyed the session and kept hydrated with plenty of cold drinks! 🥵🥤

Thanks to our volunteers who could make this possible.

On another note, this Friday's Social Club for the clients has been cancelled due to extreme temperatures in the room used.

All equipment will be provided, please meet at the Little Oyster Car Park. Take water and wear sunscreen!

Sittingbourne parkrun we are putting in an early call for volunteers for Saturday!

With Great Lines parkrun cancelled this Saturday they may be busier than usual so do need these roles filled:

-1 x set up
-2 x marshals (the bog and jump corner)
-1 x barcode scanner
-1 x funnel manager - needs to be a static role
-1 x token support

If you can help fill these awesome roles please comment on their post below or email [email protected]
