🛟 RESCUE - SKEGNESS 🛟

This afternoon, Liam rescued a couple of swimmers in Skegness who had drifted out of their depth at high tide.

The swimmers were in the flagged, lifeguarded area which meant Liam already had an eye on them before they got into difficulty and he could get to them with a rescue tube within seconds.

A positive outcome and a perfect example of how important it is to swim between the flags!

The beaches are extremely busy today and our visibility is limited. Please ensure you swim between the flags on lifeguarded beaches (Skegness and Mablethorpe) if you are cooling off in the sea, so that we are able to keep an eye on you.

It’s not just humans we help… this tiny little girl got lost on the beach yesterday. So we gave her a drink and kept her safe until we managed to find her mum and big sister! 🐾

WE’RE BACK! 🤩

Our lifeguards are back on duty this morning in Skegness and Mablethorpe, from 10am until 6pm every day now until the 6th September!

Just in time for the heatwave!

Stay safe, swim between the flags and come and see us if you have any questions while you’re at the beach ☀️

We did it! 🏃🏽

Despite the heatwave, the team soldiered on, supported by the snack squad of dreams to keep them going through the 25km run from Mablethorpe to Skegness, to celebrate 25 years of lifeguards within the . As well as raising vital lifesaving funds as part of our charity’s MayDay campaign.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s generously donated. We’re currently up to just under £275! If we could raise a few more £’s that would be great!

Every penny helps fund our prevention and lifesaving efforts, which will be put into practice over the sunny bank holiday weekend.
