Seeking shade! ☀️🕶️Today we walked out under the shade of the trees on the Avenue to get some air and a welcome change of scenery. Nursery, Reception and Year One sat on the cool grass and we took off socks and shoes to feel the grass under our feet. We took umbrellas for shade for those without hats.

A small group of representatives from our Mini Vinnies and School Council headed out this morning on a fundraising mission to Morrisons. They were putting the virtue of ‘Service’ into action. They bag packed, helped local shoppers in any way they could and had some lovely chats along the way. Some super life skills in the art of conversation were learned today and the children really enjoyed being out in the community. They raised money to help school continue to improve its outdoor areas. We will make sure we spend wisely! Thanks to everyone who donated and shared kind words with our children today. We are incredibly grateful.

What a wonderful afternoon! It might have been somewhat sweltering out there but our children were too busy enjoying their Yorkshire Dales ice cream to notice!
The ice creams were to say a big thank you to the children for their fantastic behaviour, and a big thanks to our staff team for being equally fantastic!
In our recent S48 inspection from the diocese, we received an ’Outstanding’ judgment for our Catholic Life and Mission. The report states that pupils feel loved, cared for and valued in school. It also states that behaviour both in lessons and elsewhere is exemplary.
We work hard to welcome everyone and for this to be recognised as outstanding in the report is wonderful… so glad that Father Chris could join us for the icy treat!
An ice cream for everyone seemed the least we could do given such high praise! Well done everyone and thank you!
