Every community has one or two of those ‘go-to’ people who just like helping people; being in the thick of it, at the heart of most things and involved across a broad sweep of voluntary endeavour.
It’s these individuals who are hard to define or put into any specific category, but who give outstanding personal service to the community through hard work, dedication and commitment across a multiplicity of applications and actions that the NK Community Champion Award for Community Spirit looks to celebrate.
Pushing, pulling, promoting, enthusing, encouraging, facilitating and operating like glue for a community; keeping it together, moving it forwards, oiling the wheels and generally keeping it going and helping it to flourish - whether as a street, an estate, a whole village, town or even a broader area.
So, who do you know who maybe finds it easier to express their Community Spirit through actions than words; who is generous with their time and talents and gives freely of themselves to build a busy, vibrant, supportive and flourishing community.

There are 11 award categories and maybe you can think of other people, groups or businesses who work voluntarily to improve life locally within North Kesteven as a young achiever, good neighbour through longstanding commitment to a single initiative, as a community-focused business, or by contributing to climate action, health & wellbeing, arts & culture, a better environment, or sport – people to thank for making North Kesteven such a nice place to live.
