We’re excited to bring the town to life for Sleaford Midsummer Festival and we want everyone to feel comfortable and included while they’re here.

If you need a quiet moment away from the bustle, you’ll find the Goodysphere sensory bus on Eastgate Green.

The sensory bus is a calm and welcoming space designed to support a range of sensory needs. With soft lighting and a relaxing atmosphere, it’s a place to pause, reset and recharge before heading back to the festivities.

The Dance Studio at Hub-Sleaford will also be open as an indoor retreat, providing a quieter space away from the main activity.

Accessibility information:
- all event locations are wheelchair accessible
- accessible portable toilets will be available at Eastgate Green
- accessible benches are available at Market Place
- all films will include subtitles
- the outdoor cinema area is on grass, which may be uneven in places

Whether you’re popping in for a breather or planning your visit around these spaces, we’re here to help make the festival enjoyable and inclusive for everyone 💛

Our stewards and volunteers will be on hand all day if you need help.

Just one week to go until Sleaford Midsummer Festival 🎉

Join us on Saturday 20 June, 12pm to 6pm for a fun-filled afternoon right in the heart of Sleaford. There’s something for everyone, with entertainment, activities and plenty to explore.

What’s on:
✨ Free outdoor cinema
✨ Live music from 2pm
✨ Free rock climbing and bungee trampolines
✨ Sleaford Concert Band rehearsals
✨ Dance workshops at 2.30pm, 3pm and 3.30pm
✨ Activities with Mosaic

New body-worn video cameras have been rolled out to improve officer safety and fair handling during North Kesteven District Council’s licensing compliance visits.

The new cameras are intended to protect both staff and members of the public, while also discouraging aggressive, abusive and confrontational behaviour. This follows incidents where officers experienced aggressive behaviour and unpleasant situations during routine compliance visits.

Looking for a great day out? Join us at Sleaford Midsummer Festival on 20 June and enjoy an afternoon of film and fun at Eastgate Green.

Work has begun on the transformation of an old house into new business opportunities, toilets and a Changing Places facility at the heart of Sleaford.

A four-month programme of refurbishment and improvement works to 25b Southgate will result in a newly accessible building off Money’s Yard with multiple community benefits.

Alongside new public conveniences, the accredited Changing Places facility will include a height-adjustable changing bench and ceiling hoist within a larger space designated for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets.

Council Leader Cllr Richard Wright explains here how it will assist more people to take part in and attend events and activities in the town, to shop and enjoy leisure time, with greater confidence and comfort.

Contractor Build Manager has extensive experience in delivering accredited Changing Places facilities, meeting the specific requirements and exacting standards necessary for successful installation.
