Report crime or make a complaint online at https://www.lincs.police.uk/ or call 101. We reserve the right to remove comments and block you if we feel you offend, intimidate, hurt, or deliberately provoke specific people or groups of people. We welcome open debate; we welcome free speech that allows you to articulate their opinions without fear of retaliation. But we do not welcome discourse from a

nyone who does not respect and live by those same principles. We live in a society where freedom of speech is a right, but if you abuse that right you can expect to be sanctioned. If anything you post tips the balance towards hate speech – this is defined as anything public that expresses hate or encourages violence towards a person or group based on something such as race, religion, age, s*x, nationality, ethnicity, disability, or s*xual orientation – or that post anything that threatens, incites, or encourages hatred or violence in any way, we may record this as a crime and investigate you in the same way we would as if this had happened on the street. Be aware of what you post, be mindful of how others may receive it, and, above all, be kind to one another. Thank you. We are taking action against anti-social vehicle use across Sleaford, warning drivers that those who misuse vehicles and cause disruption can face enforcement action.

Officers have powers to deal with vehicles being used in an anti-social manner, including issuing warnings under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act. This is an official notice that is issued when a vehicle is used antisocially, warning that continued misuse may result in seizure of the vehicle.

This activity forms part of an ongoing commitment to keep roads safe and respond to concerns raised by local residents.
We have high visibility patrols on in hotspot areas. Anyone engaging in anti-social vehicle behaviour should be clear that action will be taken.

PC Conway said: “We know the impact that anti-social vehicle use has on our communities. This activity sends a clear message – if you choose to misuse vehicles and cause disruption, you can expect officers to take action. We will continue to patrol proactively and respond to reports from the public.”

Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns through online reporting tools, by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.

We will continue working with the community to address concerns and promote safer roads for everyone.

⚠️ Stay Safe – Abandoned Buildings Are Not Playgrounds ⚠️

We’ve recently received reports of youths accessing the rooftops of abandoned buildings in the area.

While this may seem like harmless fun, it is extremely dangerous. These structures are often unstable, with risks including:

Falling from height
Collapsing roofs or floors
Hidden hazards such as sharp objects or exposed materials

A fall or accident in these locations can result in serious injury or worse.

We are asking parents, guardians, and the community to please speak with young people about these risks and help keep them safe.

👮‍♂️ Patrols will continue in affected areas, and we will take action where necessary to prevent access and reduce harm.

If you see anyone accessing unsafe or restricted sites, please report it to us.

Let’s work together to keep everyone safe.

Local man sent to prison for stealing from stores in Sleaford.

Prolific shoplifter sent to prison

Nathan Stevenson, 32 years, of no fixed address, has been sent to prison for 28 weeks after pleading guilty to five counts of theft from shop and five counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO)

The ten offences all happened in Sleaford between 12 – 18 March this year. Stevenson stole household goods to a value of just over £634 from three different stores. He has a CBO with conditions not to enter any retail premises within Sleaford apart from one shop and a medical practice.

By example of his persistent offending, Stevenson, having appeared in court in Lincoln on 12 March for similar offences, stepped off the train in Sleaford and went to the Co-op where he stole £102.25 worth of goods.

Over the next few days, he persisted in stealing goods from the Spar and Boyes stores in the town. The Neighbourhood Policing Team recorded witness statements, secured CCTV footage and collected the evidence required to prove his offending.

We published an appeal for help to locate Stevenson on 20 March and he was arrested on Monday 23 March for the ten offences and subsequently charged.

He was put in front of the next available court on Tuesday 24 March where he pleaded guilty to the five charges of theft and the five breaches of his CBO.

He was handed a 28-week prison sentence and must pay a surcharge of £154. His CBO remains in place with conditions not to enter any retail premises within Sleaford, with the exception of the Spar, Hockmeyers Garage, Holdingham and a named medical practice; it runs until 23 March 2028.

PC Sarah Kennedy, Sleaford Town Community Beat Manager, said: “The Neighbourhood Team have worked really hard to bring Stevenson to justice. He has been a walking crime spree and the blight of many stores in the town. He has blatantly ignored his Community Behaviour Order and continued to reoffend.

“As a Neighbourhood Team we will continue to work with our communities to target people who cause harm within Sleaford.”

Details of charges:
• 18 March, theft from Boyes, Sleaford - value of goods £98.98
• 18 March, theft from Spar store, Sleaford- value of goods £225.25
• 18 March, theft from Spar, Sleaford - value of goods £169.01
• 12 March, theft from Co-op, Sleaford - value of goods £102.25
• 17 March, theft from Sainsburys, Sleaford - value of goods £39

• 12 March, entered Sleaford Co-op
• 18 March entered Spar store
