Slough Libraries Like us to keep up to date with library news, events and activities. Opening hours are for the Curve Slough Libraries service covers the whole of Slough.

We have four main libraries: The Curve, Langley, Cippenham and Britwell, plus three libraries in shared buildings in Chalvey Community Centre, Wexham Road Children's Centre and Vicarage Way Children's Centre in Colnbrook. For information about library services visit

The Church of Our Lady Immaculate and St. Ethelbert in Slough was consecrated on Tuesday, 19th April 1910, following construction that began in May 1908.
An earlier St. Ethelbert’s Roman Catholic Chapel had been built nearby on Herschel Street in 1885 through the efforts of Father Clemente.
The current church originally stood near Mackenzie Street and Curzon Street before town center redesigns and road developments, such as the redesign of Slough High Street, placed it at the corner of Wellington Street and William Street. Photo credit Reg Harrison collection

E-Audiobooks to borrow for a period of 3 weeks.The loans will automatically return if not renewed, therefore library fines are never incurred!

Welcome to our Pop Star Factory Catwalk Show!
Children in Cippenham library showed off their creative sides by building the ultimate popstar life! They decorated microphones designed accessories, wrote songs and got a chance to show off their creativity in the session finale, a catwalk show! Amazing !🤩

Read to the Beat! Have you joined up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge? There’s still plenty of time to join up for a chance to earn a medal and certificate. You can take part in Read to the Beat activities being offered across all Slough libraries. Children in Cippenham took part in Pop Star Factory! 🎤 If you’re interested in this event we’ll be hosting it again on 12 August in Langley Library from 2pm and 17 August in Britwell library from 2pm 🤩

Overview
Bring your energy to a vibrant drumming workshop with Slough Music Service. Celebrate the carnival rhythm with samba drums.

This event is part of the Summer Reading Challenge in Slough Libraries. The workshop is suitable for children aged 5+. Parents/carers should stay on site.
