✨ A Wonderful Day at the West Wittering Beach with Slough Abhimanyu & Sita Shakha! 🌊☀️

Our day began with Shakha, followed by energising warm-ups, Surya Namaskar, and yoga, setting the perfect tone for a fun-filled and memorable day together.

We then enjoyed a variety of exciting khel before everyone had some free time to relax and explore the beach. From splashing by the shore to enjoying the sea breeze, there was something for everyone.

A delicious potluck lunch brought us all together, with families sharing a fantastic variety of homemade dishes. After lunch, the Yuvak and Yuvati groups kept the fun going with Antakshari and Dumb Charades, while the Kishore group enjoyed an energetic game of cricket. Meanwhile, our Bal and Balika members were busy showcasing their creativity by building impressive sandcastles.

To end the day on a sweet note, we gathered to enjoy red velvet cake and celebrate the outstanding GCSE achievements of our Kishors and Kishoris. 🎉🎂

A day filled with fitness, fun, friendship, and celebration—creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Slough Abhimanyu and Sita Shakha had a wonderful Summer Special Beach Shakha; bringing together families, fun, games, and our Shakha activities by the sea! 🙏🇮🇳

HSS UK Slough & Maidenhead successfully organised a *Chess Tournament (चतुरंग प्रतियोगिता)* on *19th July 2026*, to coincide with *International Chess Day* on *20th July*.

The tournament was conducted in a professional format, with *38 participants* competing across *five Swiss-system rounds*. Digital chess clocks and an online tournament management system were used, allowing players and spectators to track pairings and standings throughout the event.

The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Even those who had not registered in advance joined in friendly games and enjoyed the experience.

This tournament was an initiative to offer something different from our regular activities and to connect with more families beyond the Shakha. We are delighted that *10 new participants* attended the Shakha through this event. They performed exceptionally well in the tournament and expressed keen interest in participating in future HSS activities.

With devotion in our hearts and gratitude for our eternal Guru- Bhagwa Dwaj, Sita Sevika Slough came together to celebrate Guru Puja Utsav.
