Solihull and Birmingham Urgent Care Unit & GP Out Of Hours changes.
Between 5th Feb-16th April there was a public consultation about the changes to the Solihull UTC and Out Of Hours GP service.
Only 377 Solihull residents out of over 221,000 took part in the survey.
Cllr Collette Brown asked NHS England in a council meeting last week why so few took part in a topic that is extremely important to Solihull residents. Cllr Brown wasn't aware this consultation was taking place before she was asked to join a meeting and speaking to many residents they were not aware of the consultation either.
Cllr Brown put it to the board, along other Cllrs that the marketing and access to the consultation was inadequate and didn't reach YOU, the residents who should have been given a chance to voice you opinion!
It would be really appreciated it if you could comment yes or no if you were aware of the consultation so Cllr Brown can feed this back into the next meeting.

What a week!

Our newly elected Reform councillors attended their first full council meeting this week and we couldn’t be more proud. This was my first as Leader of Reform Solihull and Cllr Alan Feeney has been voted in as Deputy Mayor of Solihull. This means he’ll be Mayor next year, Incredible.

When you think about where we were just a few weeks ago and where we are now, 17 seats won in May, it’s just amazing. The people of Solihull have spoken and we won’t let them down.

One thing we always say and truly mean, Reform are not just here at election time. Our councillors will be out in their wards, at events, knocking on doors and dealing with casework all year round. That’s the commitment we made and that’s what we’ll deliver.

And if you don’t have a Reform councillor in your ward, please don’t let that stop you getting in touch. We are here to help any Solihull resident who needs us. Just drop us a message.

Honoured to have been elected Leader of the Reform UK Group on Solihull Council and to serve as Leader of the Opposition.

Thank you to my colleagues for their support, and to every resident who voted for change at these local elections.

We will work hard to hold the administration to account, stand up for local communities, support small businesses and fight for better services across Solihull.

Looking forward to working alongside our Deputy Leader, Councillor Alan Feeney, and the whole team.

The hard work starts now.

An extraordinary result for Reform UK in Solihull.

Solihull Council has been under Conservative control since the 2011

Yesterday, Reform won 17 of the 51 seats up for election and has taken the council into no overall control.

A truly incredible result. 🩵💪

🏘️ Richard Tice MP visits Shirley, Solihull!
It was brilliant to welcome Richard Tice MP to Shirley this week to see first-hand what our community is dealing with on the high street.
The Leader of Solihull Council represents this very area yet under her watch, Shirley has been left to decline. Across all three Shirley wards, residents are seeing shops and banks close, anti-social behaviour go unchallenged, vacant units left to gather dust, graffiti on our streets, and rubbish left uncollected.
This isn't good enough. Shirley deserves better, and its residents deserve a council that actually fights for them.
Reform UK will work with this community to turn things around. Clean streets. Safer spaces. A high street that Shirley can be proud of again. 💪

This afternoon Reform Solihull welcomed Richard Tice MP.

We spoke about the decline of our shopping centres and what needs to be done to bring life back to our high streets. It’s clear Shirley high street has gone backwards under the Conservative-run Solihull Council, and residents want to see real improvement.

We also spoke to people in Shirley East, it’s obvious there’s a growing demand for change.

Thanks to Richard Tice MP for coming to Solihull and speaking with local residents.
