Owlets - King Ina Academy, Somerton

Owlets - King Ina Academy, Somerton Owlets is an Early Years setting for 2 - 5 year olds in the Somerton area, we are part of the Foundation Stage provision at King Ina Academy.

We aim to provide high quality care and education in a safe, well-equipped and stimulating environment which promotes learning through play, using a wide range of resources, and which most importantly is fun!

Well, it has been an emotional week as we prepared to say goodbye to some of our leavers. We’ve known some of the children since they were two years old, and by the time they leave KIA for secondary they will barely remember their time with us when they were first separated from their parents and still in nappies. But, we always remember our little Owlets.

We wish them well as their school journey continues.

We’ve also had to say goodbye to Mrs Wilton and Mrs Buckley, who will be greatly missed.

We very much look forward to welcoming back our existing Owlets and those that are due to start with us.

Today is Mrs Musgrove’s last day at Owlets. We will miss her greatly and wish her well.

🇬🇧👑We hope that you’ve enjoyed the half term and jubilee celebrations 🇬🇧👑

We return tomorrow and look forward to welcoming you into the setting! May we ask that you continue to support the children with resilience and independence by supporting the children with these important skills. The children have been placing their lunch boxes on the trolley and hanging up their coats and bags before washing their hands. Don’t do it for them! You are supporting their transition to school. Of course, this is age dependent, but the more you can support their independence, the easier the transition to school. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you all back into the setting after two years!
