Patrols increase to reduce motorbike fatalities – 16/06/2026

Our police motorcyclists will be carrying out extra patrols over the coming month as part of work to reduce collisions. Last year (2025) 11 motorcyclists were killed in collisions in Cambridgeshire and 56 were seriously injured. This compares to eight fatalities in 2024 and 69 serious injuries. PC AJ Boddington, Casualty Reduction Officer, said: "Sadly last year saw our highest number of motorcycle fatalities in years....

Appeal for information following ram raid in Ramsey – 16/06/2026

We are appealing for information following a ram raid at a building society in Ramsey during the early hours of this morning. The call came in at 3.17am today (16 June) reporting a stolen telehandler, along with two other vehicles, was being used to remove a cash machine from the front of Nationwide Building Society in the High Street. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed suspicious vehicles or activity in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation....
