Now that summer has arrived (despite the rather confusing weather!), we have new summer themed activity sheets in our Nature Backpacks. They are free to borrow (we just need a £10 cash deposit) and full of equipment and activities to help you & your family make the most of being outside. If you borrow one before the end of June, we'll even enter you into a prize draw & you could win a family ticket to for Quince Honey Farm.

We are so thankful to our wonderful team of volunteers (both past & present) who do so much for our community by volunteering at the Library. Our volunteers are always busy working with books, preparing resources for displays & events, choosing & delivering books to housebound customers, helping out at events, offering digital support to customers, and even fundraising for the library. Our volunteers really do enable us to offer much more than we would otherwise be able to. We have a number of volunteer roles that we are looking to fill - if this is something you may be interested in, please do pop in and speak to a member of staff.

The Ceramics Academy CIC and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Discover the stories, voices, and heritage of South Molton’s Pannier Market in this free workshop with Katy Lee of Courage Copse Creative.

Inspired by ‘Verses for the Pannier Market’ by Victorian poet Loveday Bennett, who made her living selling verses in South Molton, you’ll explore local history through poetry, storytelling, and shared creativity helping to create a brand-new community poem for the market.

Participants will also be invited to join the Ceramics Academy on 20th June to create a unique piece of community art.
