This week marks Joanne Foster's 18th year at Demob Job.

That’s 18 years of helping hundreds of people secure meaningful employment after leaving military service. A time that, for many, can be stressful and uncertain.

Along the way, she has helped companies across the UK strengthen their teams. Many still pick up the phone to Joanne when they need to recruit.

Recruitment is not easy. It brings highs and lows, and I admire Joanne's determination to push forward when things get difficult.

Over the years, I have seen her become exceptionally good at what she does. The way she speaks to candidates and clients, guides them through decisions and keeps things moving towards a positive outcome sets an example for those around her.

Everyone who has worked here has benefited from having Joanne in the team.

As a business owner, having someone I trust, whose opinion I value and who brings ideas and encouragement makes a real difference.

Demob Job would not be the same without her.

A military working spaniel poses for a portrait at the 1st Military Working Dog Regiment during its 10th anniversary The Military Working Dog Regiment is a hybrid unit of around 350 personnel. It provides the only deployable military working dog and veterinary capability within the whole of the British Army. Based in North Luffenham, Rutland, the dogs and their handlers deliver vital detect and protect capabilities for troops on the ground. The 1st Military Working Dog Regiment consists of three Regular and one Reserve Military Working Dog Squadrons, comprising 299 Regular soldiers and officers with the ability to surge to a maximum capacity of 384 Military Working Dogs

🇬🇧 Some fantastic news for Veterans for Veterans in Care! 🇬🇧

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we are now officially members of Cobseo, The Confederation of Service Charities!

For those who may not know, Cobseo brings together charities and organisations from across the Armed Forces community, helping them work together, share knowledge and strengthen the support available to our veterans, serving personnel and their families.

For us, this is another fantastic step forward as a growing charity, and something we're incredibly proud of.

Our mission has always been simple: to find and support our ‘Forgotten Army’, the veterans living in care homes who deserve to be recognised, respected and reminded that they are still very much part of our military family.

Becoming part of Cobseo gives us the opportunity to build new relationships, learn from other fantastic organisations and work together to make an even bigger difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to believe in what we're doing, especially our amazing volunteers. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Another proud moment for the VFVIC family, and another step towards making sure no veteran in care is ever forgotten.
