The theme for Carers Week 2026 is "Building Carer Friendly Communities."

Carers Week 2026 will run from 8th to 14th June and focuses on creating communities that recognise, value, and support unpaid carers in everyday life.

South Tyneside Council, along with our partners across South Tyneside, will be recognising the important contribution made by South Tyneside's estimated 15,000 carers.
