A few months ago we had the amazing Matt and Harry from .studio visit
Wolf Fields to film a short documentary style video highlighting the work we do on the reserve. They also took some great photos of our volunteers working on
a wattle fence for the Wolf Fields Sensory Garden!!
The wattle fences pictured here are made from bamboo inter-twinned around cherry tree stakes!

Last week at Wolf Fields our reserve manager
put out a footprint tunnel in the orchard to try and figure out what small mammals use the reserve and also to monitor for any Hedgehog activity!

While we didn't get any hedgehogs, we did get some other interesting (and some cute) visitors, swipe through to see what we spotted at our footprint tunnel using our Helarctos Trail Cameras!!

Our bird feeders are always one
of the most active spots on the reserve! While Blue t**s, Great t**s and Robins are the most common visitors we also see House sparrows, Long-tailed t**s, Goldfinches, Greenfinches and Chaffinches at the feeders!
We do get squirrels and parakeets upsetting our bird trays now and then but we have found the mixing a little bit of chilli powder in with the bird feed does a good job of keeping squirrels at bay

It's always good to see the bird feeders being used by a variety of species and it is good to know that the squirrel deterrents work (to an extent!). How many species can you see??
