We want to say a big thank you to all involved for this training exercise.

We worked alongside Hamble Lifeboat, Mercury Yacht Harbour and Holiday Park , MDL Marinas and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service development school

It's important that these training scenarios take place to allow us to understand how each agency works in different situations, and how we can best utilise each other's skills, experience and equipment.

We look forward to the next training scenario and working with you all again. 🙂🚒🚤

We would like to welcome our new recruit Tom 👏👨🏻‍🚒

Tom has recently passed the pumps and ladders course which now means he is 'on the run'.

On Monday, Tom's first day booked on we had a fire call to a property in Hamble.

🚨FIRE CALL🚨This morning at 06:03 we were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm (AFA) at a business in Hamble.

Inspection of the building carried out using thermal imaging cameras and thankfully no signs of a fire.

🚨FIRE CALL🚨 Yesterday evening at 17:47 we were mobilised to a garage fire in Hamble which then spread to a property.

Crews worked very hard to get the fire under control and to stop further fire spread.

Around 60 firefighters tackled the fire from various fire stations in Hampshire.

This highlights the need for our Fire Station in Hamble, we couldn't do this without our retained firefighters. We need more firefighters at Hamble and we are currently recruiting.

Flares should be correctly disposed of. If these Flares got into the wrong hands someone could of got seriously injured or Hamble Lifeboat /coastguard called out unnecessarily.

We are recruiting!

Would you like to be part of a great team making lives safer in the community?

We are looking for someone who lives or works within 5 mins of the station and can ideally provide cover during the day throughout the week.

You will also need to attend drill night on a Wednesday evening from 18:30 - 21:30.

Feel free to pop down to the station on a Wednesday evening to talk to the firefighters about what we do and have a look round.
