Hasag Asbestos Disease Support

Hasag Asbestos Disease Support Supporting families affected by asbestos-related diseases across the South, London & Home Counties. Though we've grown, our mission remains deeply personal.

Trusted advice, emotional support & practical help - every step of the way. In 2026, HASAG will mark 20 years of supporting families affected by asbestos-related diseases - a milestone that reflects our deep commitment, personal connection, and growing impact. HASAG was founded by sisters Lynne and Diane in memory of their father, Dave Salisbury, who passed away from mesothelioma. Experiencing fir

sthand the lack of support available at the time, they began a small local group to help others in similar situations. That group has since grown into a leading regional charity, now supporting thousands of people across the South, South East, London Boroughs and Home Counties. Our team - each of whom has been personally affected by asbestos-related illness - offers compassionate, practical support every step of the way. From benefits advice and form filling, to home visits, counselling, coffee mornings, and fundraising - we’re here for patients and their loved ones when they need it most. Over the past two decades, we’ve raised over £900,000, funded research in partnership with the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund, and helped part-fund four Mesothelioma UK nurses. HASAG was founded in love, loss, and hope - and we never forget that. We’re here to help, always - because no one should face this journey alone.

Two decades ago, HASAG began with a single, painful loss - and a refusal to let other families go through it without support.

In 2026 we turn 20. Our 20for20 campaign runs twenty challenges through the year, funding the free counselling, practical support and research that people living with mesothelioma and asbestos-related disease depend on.

If our work has touched you, or you'd simply like to stand with these families, we'd be grateful for your support: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/hasag20for20

That. Was. Brilliant.

What an incredible evening at the Mixed Netball Tournament! The court was full of energy, laughter, and so much heart - and we couldn't be prouder of everyone who took part.

Thank you to those who played for Team HASAG! A stellar effort, finishing 4th!

The biggest of thank yous goes to the amazing team at Boyes Turner - Industrial Disease Claims for making the whole thing happen. 🧡

Just one month until Action Mesothelioma Day - and we can't wait!

Friday 3rd July 2026 is Action Mesothelioma Day - a special annual event dedicated to raising awareness of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases, where patients, families, loved ones, and those working to support them come together to honour those affected and stand united in the fight for better care, support, and research.

We are counting down the days - and we have something rather lovely to share with you today.

These gorgeous handmade wooden windmills have been kindly donated by one of our wonderful supporters and will be auctioned on the day. They are absolutely beautiful, and we are so touched by this generous gesture.

Whether you join us in person, donate online, or simply share this post - every single act of support makes a difference to the families we are here for.

June is nearly here, and so are our Coffee Mornings and Afternoons! ☕💛 Come along to meet Team HASAG, speak with nurse specialists and solicitors, and spend time with others in our community who understand the impact of asbestos‑related diseases. We’re really looking forward to catching up with you throughout the month.

If you've been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease - please read this.

We know that the last thing many people want to think about after a diagnosis is legal action. We hear it all the time:

"I don't want to make a fuss." "I've no interest in going after my old employer." "It sounds exhausting - I just don't have the energy."

And every single one of those feelings makes complete sense.

But we want to gently challenge something. Seeking legal advice isn't about blame or battle. It's about making sure you and your family are supported - financially, practically, and emotionally - at a time when that support matters most.

Compensation can help cover the cost of care. It can ease financial pressure. It can give your family security. And the process itself? Far less daunting than you might think, especially with the right people by your side.

Our legal panel are experts in asbestos-related disease claims. They are professional, compassionate, and completely focused on making the process as smooth as possible for you. They handle the complexity - so you don't have to.

You've worked hard all your life. You deserve to know your rights.

Talk to us at HASAG and we'll point you in the right direction.

Please share this post - someone you know may really need to see it today.
