Hasag Asbestos Disease Support

Hasag Asbestos Disease Support Supporting families affected by asbestos-related diseases across the South, London & Home Counties. Though we've grown, our mission remains deeply personal.

Trusted advice, emotional support & practical help - every step of the way. In 2026, HASAG will mark 20 years of supporting families affected by asbestos-related diseases - a milestone that reflects our deep commitment, personal connection, and growing impact. HASAG was founded by sisters Lynne and Diane in memory of their father, Dave Salisbury, who passed away from mesothelioma. Experiencing fir

sthand the lack of support available at the time, they began a small local group to help others in similar situations. That group has since grown into a leading regional charity, now supporting thousands of people across the South, South East, London Boroughs and Home Counties. Our team - each of whom has been personally affected by asbestos-related illness - offers compassionate, practical support every step of the way. From benefits advice and form filling, to home visits, counselling, coffee mornings, and fundraising - we’re here for patients and their loved ones when they need it most. Over the past two decades, we’ve raised over Β£900,000, funded research in partnership with the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund, and helped part-fund four Mesothelioma UK nurses. HASAG was founded in love, loss, and hope - and we never forget that. We’re here to help, always - because no one should face this journey alone.

We reached new heights for HASAG this weekend - quite literally.

A huge thank you to Irwin Mitchell for organising a brilliant Cutty Sark Rig Climb for our 20th Anniversary. Our team scaled the rigging of this beautiful old ship, conquered a few fears on the way up, and had an absolute ball doing it.

Twenty years of support and counting - thank you, Irwin Mitchell.

You keep us climbing. πŸ™

A huge thank you to Jack Brooks and all at Tiddington Cricket Club for holding the third annual Tiddington CC v Don's All Stars on Sunday 23rd August, in memory of Don Brooks.

It was a fantastic day brilliantly supported by the local community. Some real high-class cricket and the All Stars ran out worthy winners in a closely contested match.

There was also an auction, a raffle and Mark Fellowes on the decks.

It was a privilege to be part of the day and we can't thank you all enough.

THANK YOU, Hastings Direct Careers

On 9th July, the brilliant team at Hastings Direct pulled on their walking shoes for a sponsored walk in aid of HASAG - raising an amazing Β£2,000. And then the company added a further Β£10,000 on top. πŸ™Œ

That's Β£12,000 to help us support people living with mesothelioma and other asbestos-related illnesses, and their families, across the South of England.

Every single step you took means someone facing a frightening diagnosis won't have to face it alone. From all of us at HASAG - thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts. πŸ™

A heartfelt thank you to Anna Sykes.

Anna organised a charity football match in honour of her dear husband Luke - a day filled with community, generosity and love. On the pitch at Frinton Cricket Club there was a game to cheer on, a large raffle, a DJ, a barbecue and donations coming in at the gate, and together it all raised over Β£4,000 for HASAG.

We are so grateful. Anna, you told us that our support meant something to you last year when you needed someone - but what you've done here, turning that into a day that will help so many others, has moved all of us. Thank you for thinking of HASAG, for the care you put into every detail, and for keeping Luke's memory at the heart of it.

To everyone who played, watched, donated, bought a raffle ticket or simply came along - thank you. You've made a real difference.

What a treat! 🌸

An enormous thank you to our wonderful supporter Lorraine Morrison, who organised the most beautiful tea party in aid of HASAG.

Just look at these cakes! 🍰 Every scone, every slice, every cup of tea poured with such care - and all of it to help support families affected by asbestos-related illness.

Fundraising like this means the world to us. It's not just the money raised (though that matters hugely) it's knowing that people like Lorraine care enough to give their time, their energy and their kitchen table to our cause.

Lorraine, we are truly and eternally grateful. Thank you. πŸ’›
