☀️ What better way to enjoy the summer than with a BBQ?

Residents and staff at one of our care homes recently came together for an afternoon of delicious food, laughter and plenty of summer fun. 🍔🎉 The Recovery All Stars brought the music and the vibes, making it a brilliant afternoon for everyone to relax, enjoy the sunshine and spend time together. 🎶💛

We had a great evening out last night at the Solent Sports FC football match!⚽

We had really enjoyed cheering you on, but even more importantly, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your ongoing support. Solent Sports FC has been a valued long term supporter of the Society of St James and your hard work and dedication truly mean the world to us.

Everyone deserves somewhere safe to call home.

The commitment to offer everyone sleeping rough a route off the streets by Christmas is an ambition we very much welcome.

But we also know that homelessness is rarely solved by providing a bed alone.

Many of the people we support have experienced trauma, poor mental health, substance use and years of instability. Alongside somewhere safe to live, people need the right support, relationships and time to rebuild their lives.

We look forward to working alongside councils, health services, housing providers, charities and communities to help make sure this ambition creates lasting change – not just for Christmas, but for the future.

Rough sleepers in England will be offered housing, in a move likened to the “Everyone In” initiative during the pandemic.
