🛟 Training Update 🛟
This month, our crew are getting hands-on with a brand new piece of equipment, our MOB recovery sling.

Kindly provided by SeaSafe Systems and generously funded by MOB Lifesavers, the Sling will enable us to carry out a quick, safe recovery of a casualty directly onto our stretcher.

🐤 THE HAMBLE DUCK RACE IS BACK 🐤

The King & Queen, Hamble proudly present the return of The Hamble Duck Race, splashing back into the River Hamble with racing ducks ready to compete for glory, all in support of Hamble Lifeboat and Southampton Lifeboat.

Join us for a fun, family‑friendly afternoon on the waterfront as hundreds of bright yellow racers take to the river, all raising vital funds for our local lifesaving crews.

🛟🔧Yesterday, our engineering team joined forces with our friends at Tohatsu Marine to carry out the first scheduled engine service on The Adrian Rann.

A great example of another area where collaboration and teamwork play an important role in delivering a successful lifeboat — from the initial build through to ongoing service and support. 🔧🛟

🚨 127 TASKINGS AND COUNTING 🚨

As we come towards the end of September, our crew has just reached 127 taskings this year.

That’s already more than our total for the whole of last year.

But this isn’t a record we’re trying to break, or an achievement we’re celebrating.

Every number represents someone who needed help. A call answered. A crew launched. A life potentially saved.

Behind those 127 taskings are volunteers giving their time, leaving their families, jobs and everyday lives at a moment’s notice all with one purpose: to save lives at sea. 🌊🚤

And none of it would be possible without you.

Your donations, fundraising, business support, shares and encouragement help keep our lifeboat operational and our crew ready to respond whenever we’re needed.

How brilliant is this? The Southampton Salty Sea Dogs have written and recorded a Sea Shanty especially for us!

One of their very talented shipmates, Steve Clarke, penned the shanty, and with one simple change to the lyrics, it can be sung for Southampton or Hamble Lifeboat !

We think it’s absolutely fantastic and a wonderful way for the Salty Sea Dogs to show their support for our lifeboats.
