Today is . Did you know, every year we respond to around 500 cardiac arrests? Last year, Jon was one of them.

On 22 September 2025, Jon had just finished a game of football when, without warning, he collapsed. Fit and healthy, with no indication that anything was wrong, Jon was in cardiac arrest.

His teammates and staff at the football centre immediately recognised the seriousness of the situation and began CPR.

We were dispatched to Jon's side and place him into an induced coma.

Jon’s story shows why knowing CPR matters. When someone’s heart stops, you could be the person who helps save their life.

Your support meant we were able to provide enhanced critical care to Jon when he suffered a cardiac arrest in September 2025.

We were delighted to have been supported by the ZigZag Hill Climb this year. And this event is even more special to us as it was created by a former patient of ours, Elliott.

Back in 2020, when Elliott was 16, he collapsed after a race on his static Wattbike and we were dispatched to his side. Since then, Elliott's passion for riding has continued and he has co-founded the cycling team AeroCLCTV.

On Sunday 4 October, Elliot and the team hosted the ZigZag Hill Climb. 65 riders joined the challenge and through the event, more than £300 has been raised to support our service. 💚🎉🚴🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

A huge thank you to Elliott, everyone at AeroCLCTV and all the riders for supporting us through this fantastic event. We’re so grateful for your support!

"Watching them rush to their work with such professionalism was unlike anything I’ve experienced. They tried everything and left no stone unturned."

48-year-old James was playing golf in May 2026 when he suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest.

His friends immediately began CPR while we were dispatched to James' side. Sadly, despite everyone's efforts, James passed away.

In his memory, the group organised Souls Golf Day to celebrate his life and support our charity for being there for him and his friends in his final moments. Through their event, they have raised an incredible £27,000 - enough to fund eight more emergency missions.

We're so grateful to everyone involved for their generous support. It's an honour to be supported by this incredible event in memory of James.

We were delighted to welcome the Isle of Wight Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club to our airbase today. Jaguar Enthusiast Club IOW 💚

The club presented us with an incredible cheque for £5,000, raised through their Auto-Fest IOW event in August.

They’ve been supporting our life-saving charity through their annual event since 2017 and over the years have raised more than £40,000 for our service. That's enough to have funded 11 emergency call-outs. 🚁

This is an astonishing amount raised! A huge thank you to everyone involved for your continued support and generosity – we’re incredibly grateful. 👏🎉

It's again, and we're starting today with a massive thank you to Luca! 💚

Last weekend, Luca, who is a student paramedic, ran the Bournemouth Half Marathon to support our life-saving service – raising an amazing £500! 👏

Huge congratulations on this incredible achievement, Luca. Thank you for taking on this challenge and choosing to support our service. 🎉
