MILLBROOK/REDBRIDGE PACT MEETING
Redbridge Labour councillors Sally Goodfellow and Eugene McManus attended the Millbrook/Redbridge PACT meeting this afternoon. Despite the sparse attendance several issues were raised with local PC Nina Hedley, the council officers and local Labour councillors.

Among the issues raised was drug usage by a council tenant, the recent travellers caravans on the Green, motorbikes on Mansel Park, attacks on buses using catapults and cracking down on shop crime.

Cllr Eugene McManus from Redbridge ward updated the meeting on the caravans which were moved on by the council. PC Hedley said they need the help of the local community to provide information on the motorbikes as the bike riders were usually wearing hoodies or balaclavas. She has been working with local shops to reduce shoplifting.

PC Nina Hedley is the designated police officer for the Redbridge and Millbrook areas and her patch covers Redbridge and everything east to Foundry Lane. Her email is [email protected]

📚🚸 REDBRIDGE SCHOOL VISIT 🚸📚

As we said in another post we are getting back out there and have hit the ground running now the elections are out the way and engaging with our stakeholders in our ward.

🏫 It was great to meet the interim heads Emma and Alex yesterday, catching up over a cup of tea and to hear the great work the school is doing and for us to do some more joint up working together for the benefit of our younger residents and their families.

👷‍♂️👷🏻We had a tour of the construction outside learning building where students are learning trade skills. It was very impressive and students were fully engaged in what they were doing and it must make a nice change from being classroom based all day.
Redbridge is clearly leading the way here working in partnership with Morgan Sindall.

What a great opportunity for those wanting to get in construction rather than waiting to get to college.
🧱🔧We saw brick laying skills, plumbing and carpentry. Their future careers start here. 👏🏼

🚨WE NEED YOUR HELP🚨 🫵

As you would have seen from other local cllrs posting about this we get a small pot of money for minor works across our ward.
From Maybush to Old Redbridge and part of Millbrook estate in the middle. We need your ideas by Thursdays so please let us know.

Below is the sort of things the money can be used for and some pictures of where we have used the money in the past.

🚌 NEW BUS ROUTES 🚌

Your Labour council has a great working relationship with the bus companies. Maybush and Millbrook are saturated with buses (which is amazing) but not so much on the East.

The Labour council continues to achieve getting areas covered across the city that are a bit thin on the ground. Residents on the East can now get to General hospital. 👏🏼
