PBS4 We provide neurodisability services to adults in their own homes. Operating across Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire, Somerset and the Isle of Wight.

https://pbs4.org.uk/recruitment/ We are a not for profit and social enterprise support provider for adults and young adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism. Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model of support helps people with learning disabilities achieve their ambitions and reduces the need for “challenging” behaviours using evidence-based approaches. We support people to live in

their own homes, with their own tenancies. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst. We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 35 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and with a workforce of just over 200.

Professor Dame Uta Frith's recent comments have reignited debate about autism and whether the spectrum has become too broad.

Our latest blog suggests we're asking the wrong question.

Rather than focusing solely on diagnosis, we should be asking: What does this diagnosis mean for the person's everyday life?

Diagnosis is important, but it doesn't tell us someone's strengths, challenges or support needs. We explore why services need to move beyond labels and better understand functional impact, ensuring support is based on individual need.

We'd love to hear your thoughts!

The warm weather we have been enjoying across the UK has been the perfect reason to spend more time outdoors ☀️

Dylan has been making the most of the sunshine by picking and enjoying fresh blackberries growing in his garden with support from his team. Moments like these are all about spending time doing the things he enjoys and making the most of the sunny weather!

We'd love see how you've been making the most of the warm weather in the comments!

We are excited to share the latest progress on our development with Enablement Homes! 🏠

The main structure is now complete, and the roof rafters are in place. Once complete, the property will provide two people with complex needs the opportunity to live independently within their own homes!

This project reflects our continued commitment to creating high-quality living environments that supports the independence and wellbeing of people with complex needs. Follow along as we share more updates on its progress!
