We’re proud to share the combined 2025 operational statistics from the National Independent Lifeboat Association (NILA) highlighting the work carried out by independent lifeboat stations across the UK and Ireland.
NILA represents and supports independent lifeboat organisations, providing a collective voice, promoting best practice, encouraging collaboration, and helping stations continue delivering lifesaving services within their local communities. Unlike centrally funded services, independent lifeboats rely heavily on volunteers, donations, fundraising, and community support to remain operational.
The combined figures for 2025 demonstrate just how vital independent lifeboats are, with thousands of volunteer hours dedicated to search and rescue, assisting people in danger, supporting emergency services, and helping keep our waterways safe.
As proud members of NILA, Hamble Lifeboat are honoured to stand alongside so many dedicated crews and organisations committed to saving lives at sea and on our inland waterways.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, and partner organisations who make all this possible
