Bursledon Buttercups Early Years Centre - A Forest Pre-School

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the sad news that our dear, treasured and much loved friend Mrs West died peacefully last week. Mrs West was a huge part of Buttercups from the first day she helped us cross the road in front of her house. We all loved stories of her childhood, travels and her lovely family. Each time we visited we would plan a song to sing to her as we walked down the hill to her house. Her favourite was the bicycle song and she would join in with joy and enthusiasm every time. Each visit she would bring out her little yellow bucket, in which she had popped a treasure. We’d pass it around as she told us all about it. We learned so much from those precious visits and I know that although she is gone her spirit will be with us always. Mrs West will live on in our memories, a very special member of the big Buttercups family.

What a lovely get together! It was so good to catch up with all our Buttercups from the oldest to the youngest. Great to see our lovely parents too. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Just a quick reminder The Buttercups Reunion Picnic will be on Saturday 8 August 12.30 onwards. Same place as last year as it worked so well. Manor Farm Country Park, sometimes called Upper Hamble Country Park 😂. Barnfield car park. There is a cafe there and toilets too!

Steph, Carly and Rachel are all coming too! We are all really looking forward to seeing as many of you who can make it. I will be hopping on a ‘fairy’ as I now live on the beautiful Isle of Wight.

Hi lovely Buttercup people. We are planning a get together picnic for this summer holiday. It’s looking like the first or second weekend in August but I’ll let you know a firm date as soon as we have one. We are really looking forward to seeing you all. Kate🤗🤗🤗🤗

I never imagined I'd be in the show the following year, let alone on the exhibition poster.

I am very proud to celebrate Black History month in Southampton with my daughter Daisy who was part of the Colourism photographic exhibition. In these sad times,when people of colour are actively discriminated against it is so important to remember that we all have roots in Africa and this is something that should bring us together in celebration of everyone. Just one big family at the end of the day!
