🎠🎪🤹🍦🎭 The Unwrapped Festival comes back to Hedge End in less than two weeks! Enjoy live pop-up performances, workshops and market and food stalls.

The festival takes place at Greta Park on Sunday 7th June from 10am until 5pm... and the entertainment is FREE! 🎉

🥵☀ 🌊 It goes without saying that it is extremely hot out there today and the Paddling Pool is very busy!

🚘 Please can we ask those visiting the pool to park considerately and not to block roads or driveways.

🅿 There is free parking at the former Budgens supermarket site in Wildern Lane. Parking is also available at Hedge End Social Club off Bursledon Road where there is a charge.

Congratulations to the new Chair of Hedge End Town Council Cllr. Leigh Hadaway and Vice-Chair Cllr. James Paine.

The Chair’s Chain of Office was handed over to Cllr. Hadaway by outgoing Chair Cllr. Ron Nichols at last night's AGM, who wished him well for the year ahead.

Following tradition, he was also presented with the Chair’s Gold Sovereign which is a symbol of the Town Council’s hope that he will never face hard times during his time in office and will be able to pass it on to his successor.

🐝It's ... a chance to raise awareness on the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy.

The date was selected by the United Nations to honour the birthday of Anton Janša, who was a pioneer of beekeeping in the 18th century.

🌸🌼 We can all play our part, from building a bee hotel outdoors using twigs, hollow reeds, tubes and bricks to planting bee-friendly plants like lavender, rosemary, sunflowers, foxgloves and cosmos.

😀🌊 We're delighted to let you know that the Paddling Pool will OPEN today at 10am!
Please park in the free former Budgens Car Park in Wildern Lane and be considerate to local residents. The Hedge End Club in Bursledon Road also has parking but there is a charge. All we need now is the 🌞
