Our author of the month for June is Len Deighton. Best known for his gritty and realistic Cold War Spy stories, Deighton redefined the genre in the 1960s and introduced us to a new kind of spy: working-class, cynical, and tough (and brilliantly portrayed by Michael Caine when the books became films).
