AGM Wednesday 1st April @ 7pm

Dear Centre Users,

We are writing to inform you that we are holding a Annual General Meeting, taking place at 7:00pm on 1st April at the Community Centre. During the meeting we will share what the Centre has achieved over the past year and outline our plans for the year ahead.

This AGM is particularly important. Claire will be stepping down as Chairperson, and at present no one has come forward to take on this role. Without additional support, the committee will be reduced to just two members – the Secretary and Treasurer. Unfortunately, the Centre cannot continue to operate effectively with only two committee members.

We are therefore reaching out to centre users to consider becoming more involved. We are actively looking for:

- A new Chairperson
- Additional Committee Members
- Trustees
- Local Keyholders

These roles are vital in ensuring the smooth running and future sustainability of the Centre. Your involvement, whether large or small, would make a significant difference.

We hope to see you at the AGM on 1st April. If you are interested in any of these roles and would like to discuss them beforehand, please contact us on (023) 8055 3805, Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 3:00pm, or by replying to this email.

St Denys Repair Cafe is today from 10.30-1.00. Bring your items for repair and our wonderful repairers will repair if possible or at least give you advice. Our jewellery repairer is here today. Also our knife and tool sharpener and sewing machine repairer as well as all our usual repairers. Hope to see you!

Repair Cafe News and Dates for 2026

Southampton Repair Cafe is a place where people can bring broken items to be fixed by our expert repairers at the same time as having a cuppa and some homemade cake and meeting like-minded others. We repair all sorts of things including: Electrical items, Computers, Jewellery, Bikes, Clothes, Woodwork, metal work, furniture and gluing. If we can’t fix it we may be able to advise you what to do next. All repairs by donation! As a new sevice, we are now providing a knife and tool sharpening....
