Yesterday was Grief Awareness Day in the UK and how apt that I couldn't bring myself to post because I was caught up in my own π
Songs being played that I hadn't heard in yonks that reminded me of my dear Gran, though these made me smile more than anything π₯° And I usually find a day or two after supporting families and leading their services I can feel heavy personally π
I miss my Dad every day, I think of my Dad every day, but grief shows up every day differently.
Today we visited a special place of my Dads, I had a quiet moment in one of his spots (that my husband kindly captured) to have a word with myself, to let the wind blow away some of the feels but also to allow myself to stay in it for a while, which I dont often do!
So though a day late, remember that grief has no time line, no one gets to tell you how to navigate it, and you do what you need to do to get through, however its showing up for you today π
