Southend Libraries

Southend Libraries More than just books! A public resource for all! Southend Libraries are six branches serving the Southend-on-Sea Borough.

While we may be known for our books, we also provide multiple online resources; including free access to e-magazines & e-books, e-comics & e-audio. Access our free Online Reference Library with resources as diverse as Ancestry, Encyclopedia Britannica and EBSCO. Stop by to use a People's Network computer for free or join in a Storyrhymes session with your little ones. Whatever you are looking for, Southend Libraries can get you on the road to finding it!

For 🏳️‍🌈: a relaxed 'Bring Your Own Bottle' evening event at Westcliff Library!
can be the lesser-discussed letter in the + spectrum, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find how this identity intersects with British history and contemporary life alike. Luke Turner has long explored bisexuality in his writing: ‘Out Of The Woods’ examines sexuality, shame and our relationship with the natural world and ‘Men At War’ looks at the hidden histories of and from 1939 - 1945.
Join Luke for a wide-ranging discussion on the threads that connect these subjects this Pride Month
Tickets are £5, available from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/southend-libraries-18530130247 and from Library, call: 01702 341961.

Tickets are released TODAY for our next Southend Libraries Presents event!
Local author James Robert Moore will discuss his book ‘Not Good Enough’ a q***r debut novel that speaks to the all-too-common feeling of falling short in relationships and life.
Exploring themes of betrayal, self-doubt, comparison, and the pressure of expectation, the novel is about breaking up with a partner, but also with yourself!
This event will take the form of an open conversation, offering insight into the ideas behind the book, Moore’s writing process, and the experiences that informed it. Suitable for ages 16+

Tickets are FREE, available now from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/southend-libraries-18530130247 or visit The Forum Reception/call 01702 534111
