For over 20 years, our family have poured our hearts into Southport Pier Pavilion and the concessions along the pier. It was never just a business to us — it was our family’s livelihood, our community, and a huge part of our identity.
When the pier closed suddenly in December 2022, our entire family and our cherished workforce lost their jobs overnight. Like many others in Southport, we have spent the last few years living with uncertainty while waiting and hoping for news about the future of this iconic landmark.
Although we have today learned that the reopening of the pier could still be one or even two years away, we want people to know this:

We are still fighting, still working, and still hoping to one day see the pier alive again and welcoming visitors back to Southport.
Over the years we built far more than businesses on that pier — we built memories for generations of families, jobs for local people, and a place that became part of the fabric of Southport itself. We are incredibly proud of what we created there, and we hope it will never be forgotten. We miss our regulars!
These past few years have been difficult for many people connected to the pier, including our own family, but we remain hopeful, in fact we KNOW that one day the lights will come back on, the shutters will lift 🙏🏼 and Southport Pier will once again be full of life.
We ask everyone who cares about Southport Pier to continue speaking up, sharing memories, supporting local businesses connected to the pier, and staying engaged with updates about its future. Public support truly matters, and together our community can help ensure that this historic landmark is not forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us and believe in the future of Southport Pier. We may not shout, sing and dance day in day out, we are a private family BUT all of your encouragement, messages, and ongoing support give us strength and hope during these uncertain times, and we look forward to the day we can welcome people back once again.
