The everyday heroes of the UK fire and rescue community face traumatic and life-changing situations. The Fire Fighters Charity is there to support them when they are injured, ill, or in need of psychological support.

The charity was founded during the dark days of the Blitz to support the bereaved families of brave firefighters who lost their lives protecting communities during World War II. Today, it continues to provide vital support to firefighters and their families across the UK.

Fire Fighter Robert McAndrew 6114 has successfully completed his Firefighter Phase 2 Development Folder. Throughout the development period, Robert has demonstrated excellent knowledge, a positive attitude and strong commitment to his role within Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.

Robert consistently applied himself to both the practical and theoretical aspects of the programme, showing professionalism, willingness to learn and determination to achieve a high standard. His hard work and dedication have clearly paid off, and he should be proud of this achievement.

Robert has become a valued member of the team and has shown the qualities and behaviours expected of a competent firefighter. We look forward to supporting his continued development and future progression within the Service.

Our community fire safety advocates and crews will be in the Bridgewater area of Pinchbeck, Spalding on 05/02/2026 talking to residents about fire safety in the home which will include advice on smoke alarms, escape plans and preventing fires.
