A resident was asking why Fife Council workers used strimmers to cut grass at Lindsay Gardens, as opposed to a lawnmower, so I asked the local team. The answer is that men with strimmers can move from one grass strip to another easily while mowers need to be mounted and demounted from trailers. Sorry about the extra noise but it means that grass can be trimmed more often and more efficiently.
