It’s September 1st and the start of month. Today we treated some of our families to lunch at The Soup Kitchen, Stafford one of our favourite places!

Today was also the last activity for the 6 week holidays and as they say ‘It’s a Wrap’ - we have had a wonderful Summer spending time with our special people and we’ve shared laughter (and tears) and above all a whole lot of LOVE with some amazing families of children with cancer.

Most of our posts show happy, smiling faces but obviously this isn’t the harsh reality of childhood cancer, our families experience many dark times so our job is to create those fun times, make memories and offer a hug when times are just too tough.
Above all, our families know we care and that we’re with them every step of their journey.

We couldn’t do all if this without our dedicated volunteers, trustees, staff and supporters - thank you all for helping us to provide those special times for our very special families ♥️

Today marks the start of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

To mark the month, we’ve been hiding Stafford Rocks featuring a Gold Ribbon around Stafford to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance. An incredible local charity that supports families after a childhood cancer diagnosis.

We are temporarily putting all bric a brac donations on hold in our charity shop. All other donations are still welcome though!!
We have had so many donations of bric a brac the past few weeks that we’re struggling to find space for them (but it’s a wonderful problem to have as our lovely donors are so very generous!)
We’ll post on our social media when we can accept bric a brac donations once more - we promise it won’t be long!
