🚒When we met Eva and Eli as part of the East Coast Truckers Charity Marketing convoy in the summer, we invited them to come and see us at one of our fire stations.

We were delighted to welcome them for a festive visit to catch up and show them around.

🐶As well as meeting WM Lowe who drove on the convoy, the children also met the crew and our OK9 dog Tilly.

Welcome to our newest member of the team 🚒💨

It’s ‘in with the new’ to start a new week! 🙌

We’re delighted to be welcoming in a fresh group of on-call recruits, who completed their initial training course at our Bowthorpe centre on Friday and will be serving their local stations and supporting their communities across Norfolk.

Congratulations and well done to Firefighter Brookes (Diss); Firefighter Codman (Wells); Firefighter Cooper (Watton); Firefighter Fleming (Hunstanton); Firefighter Hammond (Heacham); Firefighter Holdroyd (Cromer); Firefighter Kursinskis (Swaffham); Firefighter Lawes (Diss); Firefighter Lee (Reepham); Firefighter Manning (Great Yarmouth) and Firefighter Turner (Stalham).

A traditional warm Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service welcome to all eleven of them, who will be combining their primary employment with this paid role, ensuring we have enough firefighters to respond quickly to incidents. We simply couldn’t function as a service without their vital contribution.

Among our latest batch, we have a café owner, a student, a builder and a retired copywriter, so our on-call firefighters really do come from all walks of life.
