What an amazing day, celebrating not 1, not 2, but 3 Options family birthdays today! 🎉🎉🎉

We continued to celebrate Austin’s birthday, after having an absolute blast at the Silent Disco on Wednesday, today is Austin’s actual birthday, Austin chose to open his cards and gifts from his friends, at home with his family 🎁☺️
Gorgeous Katie is the big 2️⃣1️⃣ today, sharing her birthday with Austin! 💖
Beautiful Becky’s birthday was at the weekend, she was away celebrating with family for the week, so we decided to make it a treble celebration today! 🎈✨

Such lovely, thoughtful cards and gifts for the ladies to start the day 💝💌🎁💌

Off to Eye C Of E Primary School for a fun swim! 🏊🏼‍♀️💦🏊🏼‍♂️💦🙌🏼

Then onto Brightside Roadside - Ram Jam for a yummy birthday lunch! 😋🍽️🍕🍔

We crammed so much into the day, we completely ran out of time for birthday cake back at Options HQ 🤭
Luckily Katie had kindly bought the cutest boxed cupcakes to share with her friends 🧁🧁🧁🧁
Perfect for everyone to take home 🏡🥰

We have absolutely loved celebrating all 3 of your birthdays today, Austin, Katie and Becky! 🤩

Sadly, due to the rain 🌧️🌧️🌧️ and the awful conditions on the roads 🫣 we weren’t able to go on our planned trip to Nene Valley today ☹️

However, when our plan B involved making home made pizza 🍕 and salad 🥗 for lunch, things all of a sudden didn’t seem so bad! 😋

Gemma whizzed together a quiz for this afternoon 🤓📝 and we ended the day having a boogie to the songs we’d used for the music intro round of our quiz 🎶💃🏼🕺🏻

Days like today keep us on our toes 👣 but at Options, there’s no such thing as a bad day 🥰

Well done to our amazing Thursday gang, for adapting so well to some big changes today 🩵

Bit of an essay today 📝 stay with me 🙏🏼

What a week we are having 😃 and what a way to celebrate our music loving Austin’s birthday! 🥳🩵
Austin was buzzing for this! 😆

Always the best day when John from The Silent Disco Project CIC comes to see us! 🎧🪩🎶

We were excited seeing John’s new inflatable Silent Disco booth being set up! 🤩 and the excitement certainly didn’t stop there! 🤩

Forget happy hour, more joyous hour! 🥰

A big WOW moment I’d like to share with you 🌟
Lewis has always been far more of an observer of dance.
If we asked him to dance he’d say ‘I can’t dance’ 🙁
We tried to explain to Lewis, that dance is simply movement, there are no rules or expectations, but Lewis still struggled with self confidence, and found it hard to let loose on the dance floor.
Fast forward ⏩ to today.
Lewis is dancing!! 🕺🏼
Not because anyone asked him to, or because he thought he should, but because he’s found a new inner confidence, and has realised it feels so good to move to music! 🥰
Our Chloe's Dance Company sessions have definitely helped with this 😘
When we were chatting after the disco, we asked Lewis, what had made him feel confident enough to dance so much today.
He quite simply replied, 🎤 ‘because I was with my friends’
Our work here is done 🥹
We are so proud of you Lewis 🩵

A massive thank you to Austin’s lovely mum Jamie, for baking the most delicious carrot cupcakes for today (honestly, we were all drooling eating these! 🤤)
We will continue to celebrate Austin’s birthday on his actual birthday on Friday, when we will also be celebrating 2 of our lovely ladies birthdays too! 🎉🎉🎉

Our Chloe's Dance Company session this morning! 🎈💃🏼🕺🏻🙌🏼🌟

And out and about over the last couple of days, getting our all important dose of fresh air 😃
Rutland Water yesterday ⛵️ and Ketton Park today 🛝

We pride ourselves on being a group that is super active, we like to fit lots of movement into our days! 🙌🏼👣🩵

A good day doesn’t have to be extraordinary. 💙

At Options, some of our favourite days are actually the simplest ones.

Spending time with friends. Having a laugh. Getting out and about. Sharing lunch. Trying something new. Or just being surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy having you there.

Because when you feel comfortable, included and completely free to be yourself, even the most ordinary day can become a pretty special one.

And that’s what our Options family is all about. 💙

It’s not every Monday morning you share your morning cuppa with a cockerel called Geoff! 🐔 or get to hold a tiny Corn Snake called Athena! 🐍 or for that matter, cuddle a tortoise called Bow! 🐢

But if you do, it’s probably because Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party has popped by! 😃

Michelle also bought some of our favourites along today, Diego the dancing dog 🐶 and Boots the very chilled out cat 🐱

There were some more new friends to cuddle too, a baby rabbit 🐰 called Nibbles, and a tiny kitten 🐱 called Mable 😍

Lots of the guys were very brave touching or holding Athena the snake, and were surprised how nice she felt to touch ☺️

A huge thank you goes to Michelle for bringing lots of her furry (and non furry!) friends to see us today.
We loved every minute as always 🥰

Animals are so therapeutic 😌 and we loved learning all about them too 🤓

We love providing our young people with these exciting and meaningful opportunities and experiences! 🩵

Sorry for the late post, I’ve been dancing the night away at the Options Social D.I.S.C.O! 🪩💃🏼🕺🏻🙌🏼
Such a fantastic night! 🩵

The guys had so much fun at their swimming session this morning! 🏊🏼‍♀️💦🏊🏼‍♂️💦

This afternoon we had some rare down time, allowing everyone the freedom to choose what they’d like to do ☺️

Meanwhile, James and Lauren did some kitchen dancing, because, at Options, the kitchen is definitely for dancing! 🤷🏻‍♀️😆🥰
