Over the last couple of days, crews from Corringham have responded to a number of incidents, as well as covering stations across the county. Many of these call-outs have been to field fires caused by the hot, dry weather.

We can all play a part in helping prevent these incidents:

🔥 Please don’t light bonfires during this dry spell.
🚯 Take your litter home with you, as items such as glass bottles and disposable barbecues can easily start fires.
🚬 Make sure ci******es are fully extinguished and disposed of responsibly.
🍖 If you’re having a BBQ, keep it well away from dry grass and always ensure it is completely out before leaving.

By taking a few simple precautions, you can help keep our communities safe and reduce the number of preventable fires.
