Having lasted over 12 years, sadly the Flowerbed at the corner of Robin Hood Road and Stansted Road was falling apart.

It has now been replaced and with this new, treated wood should last for many more years.

Thank you to Belton’s Gardening and Landscaping for all their hard work.

“If you have walked past or had a seat in the Memorial Garden recently, you might have noticed these beautiful tulips, just behind the ‘2000’ bench.

These are part of the bulbs planting initiative that the Flowerbed Committee have been busy with for the past two years.

If there is any local business that would like to consider sponsoring a Flowerbed or an area of the Memorial Garden please let us know.

Sponsorships starts from as little as possible£100.

Police assisting Elsenham Community Speed Watch yesterday afternoon using TruCam.

Some of the 23 driving over the speed limits will be getting immediate Penalty Notices, not advisory letters, including those not wearing seat belts.

The last month has seen a considerable number exceeding the appropriate speeds on various village roads.

The TruCam is a highly advanced, handheld laser speed camera used by police forces globally. It pairs speed detection with high-definition video. It captures court-admissible evidence from up to 750 meters away, tracking not just speeding, but also seatbelt use, distracted driving, and tailgating.
