The Parish Council is responsible for the community HUB, for children’s play areas and pitches, and for several areas of public land around the villages of Steeton and Eastburn. In addition the Parish Council acts as a voice for the area to communicate with other organisations such as the police or Bradford Council. The Council is consulted about all major planning applications and submits comment
s to Bradford Council who are the planning authority. The Council has begun development of a neighbourhood plan for the area. Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, in the evening. Meetings are open to the public.
