This fly tip was committed on Watery Lane, Hemel Hempstead. The household had paid an unlicensed carrier to remove the waste. They were found using documents found in the fly tip and a £400 Fixed Penalty Notice was paid.

This fly tip was committed on Torquay Crescent, Stevenage. The perpetrator was identified after investigation and admitted the offence. This resulted in a £400 Fixed Penalty Notice.

We’ve been made aware of reports of businesses receiving unexpected phone calls from people claiming there are faults with their electricity meters and that replacements are needed. In one recent example, businesses contacted the relevant organisation directly and discovered the calls weren’t genuine.

To help protect your business:

⚠️ Be cautious of unexpected calls requesting information or arranging work.

⚠️ Don’t share business or financial details if you’re unsure who you’re speaking to.

⚠️ Always verify requests by contacting the organisation directly using a trusted phone number.

If something doesn’t seem right, take a moment to check before taking any action.

Celebrate ’s young talent with an evening of live performances at the Gordon Craig Theatre, marking Stevenage's 80th anniversary as a new town.

The Stevenage 80 Youth Show on Saturday 24 October will bring young performers together on stage, giving them the opportunity to share their talent with family, friends and the wider community. Come along, show your support and help us celebrate the next generation.

A drop in vaccination clinic is on at the Westgate Shopping mall in on Monday 26 October.

The unit will be located next to the table tennis play area (unit 4A) and will have Stevenage Football Club Foundation signage.

The team will have all school aged vaccinations plus flu, shingles and the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine.
