A well needed hands on teamwork exercise after the taste testing from the chip shop survey!
Well done Stevenage Sea Cadets for some very interesting ways of retrieving the balls from the barrel, and without entering the rope circle.

🎯 National Cadet Smallbore Rifle Meet Success! 🎯

Last week, Cadet First Class Harley and Cadet First Class Vincent proudly represented Stevenage Sea Cadets at the National Cadet Smallbore Rifle Meet.

For both cadets, this was their first ever competition, making the step up to a national event an incredible achievement in itself. Throughout the week, they demonstrated determination, resilience and excellent teamwork, competing against strong opposition from across the Sea Cadets and the Tri-Service Cadet Forces, all while battling the summer heat.

We are incredibly proud to announce that both cadets were awarded Silver Medals 🥈 in the Sharpshooters Match (Top Inter-Service Team) – a fantastic accomplishment and a testament to all of their hard work and dedication.

A special congratulations also goes to Harley, who finished in the Top 25 cadets across the entire competition, earning an additional badge in recognition of this outstanding achievement.

A huge thank you goes to all of the staff who made this event possible. Your encouragement, expertise and support helped our cadets grow in confidence and achieve so much throughout the competition.

Well done Harley and Vincent – everyone at Stevenage Sea Cadets is incredibly proud of you both! ⚓👏

The full Eastern Area results can be found below.

*Cadets are taught weapon-handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use.*

82 years ago, thousands of Allied sailors, soldiers and airmen crossed the English Channel to begin the liberation of Europe.

As the number of living D-Day veterans grows smaller, it is occasions like this that remind us of our responsibility to keep their stories alive, and ensure future generations understand the price of freedom.

We thank them, and we remember them.
