The Grangemouth Major Incident Control Committee (MICC) will be carrying out maintenance work on the Community Warning System between 1st and 3rd of June.

The Community Warning System sirens installed across Grangemouth are in place to enable the MICC member companies to communicate with the public.

The system transmits warning tones and verbal instructions to the community. Whilst the maintenance work is being carried out, the sirens and voice messages will be sounded as test transmissions.

The public are not required to take any action.

In the unlikely event of an emergency taking place during the maintenance period, the transmission via the warning system will clearly indicate such an event and the public should “Go in, Stay in and Tune in”

CLACKMANNANSHIRE INFORMATION APPEAL - OFF ROAD BIKES

Illegal use of off-road bikes is continuing throughout the Clackmannanshire area - local officers are aware of a number of area hotspots and known offenders are being targeted. As previously stated, the action being taken by local officers to remove these illegal e-scooters and e-bikes, is for good reason - just recently a 5 year old child was hit by an e-scooter and was seriously injured with broken bones.

If you have any information that may assist in getting these bikes seized and improving the safety of our roads, pavements and other public spaces, please contact Police with sightings and information on 101 or 999 (if the circumstances warrant it).

Alternatively email [email protected]

Useful information:
- Who is riding the e-bikes?
- What bike do they ride?
- Where are they storing them?
- Where are they riding them?
- When are they out

Children and teenagers are being engaged in school and parents have been educated on their responsibilities. Any other adult is responsible for their own actions, and should educate themselves fully on the use of such vehicles.
