There's still time to vote for us with your green tokens at Waitrose Stirling!

The Gardens at Bannockburn House have been restored and anyone is welcome to join the garden team!

Our gardening produces fruit and veg for the local Food Bank Start Up Stirling but we also have fun and make strong friendships.

By supporting biodiversity we provide a beautiful garden in a unique historic setting for people to visit, relax, learn and enjoy. Local schools, gardening and community groups arrange visits, as well as there being public garden tours at 11:30 and 13:30 on Sundays until the end of September.

Thank you for your votes! 💚💚💚

🏰 Every September, Bannockburn House faces one conservation problem we have absolutely no idea how to solve:

How to preserve a Doors Open Days ticket for everyone who wants one.

The House itself has proved considerably more durable, although three-and-a-half centuries of Jacobites, Victorians, Scottish weather, and several generations of what can only generously be described as interesting building maintenance have left their marks.

Doors Open Days tickets, however, have a much shorter life expectancy.

And so, with our annual warning duly issued, booking is now open for Stirling Doors Open Days at Bannockburn House — Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026.

For one weekend, you can come through the doors of one of Stirling’s most remarkable historic houses completely free.

Join us for a guided tour of the House, catch up on the latest discoveries, find out what is happening with our rather enormous conservation and restoration programme, explore the estate on one of our garden tours, and pop into The Linen Room, our shop while you’re here. (Honey is in stock!)

Every year our tours fill and the waiting list grows, so we will leave you with one small piece of historical perspective:

The House has been here for centuries.

Your preferred tour slot may not be.

🎟️ Booking is now open.
