Heart to Heart

Heart to Heart We offer a befriending service to help young people who have experienced parental separation or divorce.

We run a peer support group for adults who are experiencing or are struggling to cope with divorce or separation. Heart to Heart offers confidential support to those affected by divorce, separation or relationship breakdown. We can help you whether you are an adult needing support yourself; a young person wanting help to get through your parents' breakup or a parent or professional looking to refer someone.

Our Story

Heart to Heart was created in 2003 by Sheena Orr and Lynne Murray, who both had personal experience of divorce. They provided support for each other and were surprised to discover there was no other organisation in Scotland offering this help.

In Autumn 2018, Heart to Heart became one of the projects ‘run’ by the Family Life Centre. The family life centre, a ministry of Stirling Baptist Church, is a hub of support designed to strengthen family life in Stirling and beyond.

We support adults in small group settings. This creates a safe space where participants can openly discuss (if they choose to) the issues that they are facing. Everything is done in a non-judgemental, non-confrontational and confidential manner.
