We are pleased to announce changes to Cowie Library’s opening hours. From next week, the library will be open on a Saturday morning and a Thursday morning, closed on a Monday - full details of opening hours below.

Class of 2026!
It was graduation day at Cornton Library as three of our Bookbug regulars attended their last Bookbug session before starting school after the summer holidays. We’re so excited for them to start this new adventure and can’t wait to welcome new and familiar faces when our Bookbug sessions return in August.

Going to miss Bookbug sessions during the school holidays?! Cornton Library will be holding two Family Story and Song Time Sessions on Tuesday 7th July and Tuesday 21st July at 2pm for nursery and primary aged children.

The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge starts today and this year’s theme is ‘Read to the Beat’! Packed with stories, music, creativity, and fun, the challenge is open to readers aged 4–12, they can collect stickers and prizes as they work through the Challenge.

On completion, they earn a certificate and also free child entry to local attractions at Blair Drummond Safari Park, The National Wallace Monument, The Peak, McLaren Leisure and Bellrock Balfron Campus!

We have lots of free childrens events in over the summer. For more information, and for terms and conditions for free entry to local attractions, please contact your local branch.

Join us at Central Library for our final Bookbug session before we take a break for the summer holidays.

The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge starts Saturday 20th June, this year’s theme is ‘Read to the Beat’! Packed with stories, music, creativity and fun, the challenge is open to readers aged 4–12. They can collect stickers and prizes as they work through the Challenge, and earn not only a certificate when they complete it, but also gain free child entry to local attractions at Blair Drummond Safari Park, The National Wallace Monument, The Peak, McLaren Leisure and Bellrock Balfron Campus!

We have lots of craft and music themed events in to support the challenge: for more information on events and the Summer Reading Challenge, contact your local library.
