Scammers are cold calling and saying they work for an energy company. They say you may be eligible to receive a government-backed grant for new windows or doors, then ask you to provide your details and pay a deposit

Don’t provide details/payments to a cold caller on the spot - take their details and do some research before making a decision

In memory of Harper-Lee Fanthorpe, mum Stacy is warning others to check their homes for button batteries and keep them out of reach of children.

Unknown to her mum, Harper-Lee swallowed a button battery from a remote control. Within hours it burnt through her food pipe to her main artery and she haemorrhaged to death. She was two years-old.

Since her daughter’s death, Stacy has campaigned with us to increase awareness about the risks and improve button battery safety standards so that other families don’t have to experience the anguish that Stacy’s did.
