Good morning, we have received this communication from Stirling Council to share:

2 day full closure of Cornton Rd

A full closure of Cornton Road will take place from Monday 26th October 09:30 until Tuesday 27th October 16:00. The bus service will be permitted though the closure and as such the public transport timetable will remain unaffected

The closure will allow the contractor, Balfour Beatty, to undertake critical piling activities. These piling activities will allow the southbound carriageway of Cornton road to remain open after these piling works until February 2027 when a further closure will be required.

A reminder of the next fully-funded employability programmes starting in Stirling in just over 1 week:

Parents programme:
• Starting Tuesday 27th October 2026
• Fletcher's Restaurant
• 09.30am-2.30pm each day

Programme for all aged 16-67:
• Starting Monday 26th October 2026
• Bannockburn Community Enterprise Hub
• 09.30am-4.30pm each day

There are only approx. 6 spaces available on each course now, so please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

For anyone that was interested in the Construction programme, this is now oversubscribed until February 2027, but you can book onto the All-Age programme now and receive priority booking for the February course.

We are highlighting to road users and the local community that the B998 (Hillfoots Road) between Causewayhead and the A91 will be closed from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day until Monday 12 October. This is due to essential maintenance works.

Access for emergency services will be maintained throughout the works. Road users are advised to travel via Alloa Road and the A91 and vice versa during the closure.

We are aware that the road was closed earlier than 9.30am this morning (8 Oct). We apologise for any inconvenience this caused and will ensure that closures during the remainder of the works adhere to the stated times.
