Adult Support and Protection Day takes place on Friday, and CSHSCP is urging you to act on your concerns, ensuring adults who may be at risk of harm are able to access support. The awareness day spotlights the shared responsibility we have to protect adults in our communities who may be at risk of harm.
A reminder that everyone has a role to play in Adult Support and Protection.
It’s important to speak up about any concerns you have, as the person may not be able to speak up for themselves.
Brenda Walker, National Adult Support and Protection Coordinator for Scotland, said:
“We know it’s hard to be the person who takes that step and makes the referral for someone they are concerned about. Sometimes we assume someone else has probably addressed the concerns, especially if there are already some services involved with the adult, but you might just have the missing piece of the jigsaw that shows they need support and protection.
We all have a role to play in keeping vulnerable people safe. If you see something you’re worried about, then please say something.”
