💚Do you know about all the services we offer here at Signpost?

For all our registered carers we offer over the phone support calls as and when you need them - no caring journey follows the same path, that's why it's important to us to be there when you need us.

Looking back on Carers Week 2026 💚

Did you see Signpost out and about in Stockport for Carers Week? We spoke to lots of different people about the role unpaid carers play within our communities and helped some people understand that they are a carer!

If you ever see us out and about feel free to come for a chat, we're always happy to talk⭐

☕Have you ever heard of Friendly Fridays?

This multi-generational community drop takes place every Friday at the Rose Walker Community Centre. What's even better is this group really does have something for everyone,

"It’s like a large family lounge with board games, art and craft supplies, a library area, a children’s play area, comfy armchairs, tables and chairs in a garden area at the back. We create the space our visitors use it as they wish"

Once a month a member of the Signpost team will be heading over to Friendly Fridays to chat and engage with attendees, so keep an eye out!

Calling all working carers💚

There's still chance to book on our four week course all about managing anxiety, stress and worry as a working carer. When you attend you'll be able to join a small group of carers and our Signpost counsellors to learn about practical coping strategies, improving work/care balance and self-care tips.

Our working carers often tell us attending groups mid week isn't possible that's why this course will run from 5:30-7:30. We'd love any feedback about what timings suit you best so please let us know!

Dave's Nature Walks 🐝🐜🐛

Last week some of our adult carers met up with Signpost's very own nature expert and fungal punk, Dave. They took a walk around Chadkirk to spot the different things nature had on offer - all in all they found over 102 different species, got caught in 2 rain showers and at least 1 (but probably more) scones were consumed!

This activity was perfect for a lot of our carers as it combined the getting some exercise with learning all about the nature that's right under our noses. We have another nature walk coming up in July and all those details can be found on our website!
