Stockport Sea Cadets Unit We are Stockport Sea Cadets. Developing children from the age of 10 up to 18 years old and giving them the best head start in life!

The Sea Cadet Corps offers many activities for cadets. All activities give the chance to achieve qualifications or awards. Some of these qualifications and awards are from external bodies, like the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) or the British Canoe Union (BCU). Where there aren’t any external bodies we train to a structured scheme based on Royal Navy standards. This is the case for Marine Engineering, Seamanship, Communications, Cook Steward and Meteorology.

Our very own PO Crichton selflessly started a “Cadet Welfare Fund” of which he was the first to donate money into. Very kindly, Stuart understood that some cadets may not have the funds to pay for nutty on a parade night, or be able to pay for cadet camp fees and started this fund as something to help any of our cadets if they were to need a little financial boost. We’re lucky to have such a thoughtful staff member here and hope that Stuart’s actions can maybe inspire other units out there too😊🙌the cadet corps is a big family and we always look out for each other - support like this is hugely appreciated so a big thank you PO!

Stockport Sea and Royal Marine cadets attended Stockport Armed Forces Day today, It was amazing to see all the support for our armed forces, amazing attendance from our cadets and thanks to SAFCO for arranging the day, A big thank you to Greater Manchester Police for keeping all of the public and cadets safe BZ
